Apology
Okay, I suck. I'll admit. I had filthadelphia.com up, what 3 years ago? Meh, I don't remember. Thing is that I had a full time job, I was launching another site that I thought would be simple and profitable. Man was I wrong. Now that I have everything under control with the other site (3 years later). I can finally concentrate on making this one work. I will pretty much be working on the site everyday, mainly on the back end but you should see changes from time to time.

About the name
Yeah, I know that some people will be uptight about the name "filthadelphia" but let me start off saying that I love this city. It is my absolute favorite place I have ever lived. I came here in 1994 and I have had lived in pretty much every neighborhood, from the gayborhood to the art museum. A couple of years ago I decided to purchase a house in South Philly (where us single folk can afford a house). Yep, love this city.

And now to the name. On any given windy day you can see bags, paper and other random trash flying through the streets. Every morning I have a new layer of trash littering the sidewalk in front of my house (yes I always pick it up). I had some friends visit me the other day and we were on the subway. I noticed their faces and all I could say was, "Yep that's urine". Yeah the city has the nickname "filthadelphia". Just do a search on internet:

Yahoo! search on filthadelphia

Yeah so we have a pretty dirty city but I love it nonetheless.

About the site
I want the site to be user friendly. If you want to rant and rave about something feel free. If you want to promote a local event, feel free. If your some spammer trying to get links to your site, you will be banned. Everything posted on the site should be meant to inform or entertain the visitors.
